thearetical: Answer me this: if the Kindle doesn’t have backlight capability, why does the official illustration for it show a boy reading at night with an illuminated ebook reader? Because if you’re reading on a tablet, it’s backlit.  Check out the iPad version of the Kindle app. During the day, the background is sunny & the book has no light.
